The loons are a welcome visitor up in Michigan. My family loves to listen for their call and watch for them nesting and raising their young. This piece of wood reminded me of a parent loon we watched floating low on the water with its head tilted slightly as it watched the babies swim nearby. This piece has become a constant companion and rides in my car reminding me of the beauty of Michigan and the wildlife that still lives there. It is good company in the car and sings me along my way.
