Windsong #79

Windsong #79
This piece has a great history. I had to take a trip to Pennsylvania for some surgery. After taking care of what we *knew* was wrong, they checked around to make sure everything else was okay. Much to everyone's surprise, they found a tennis-ball sized tumor on my liver. Thankfully, they were able to get the entire thing out, uncut, through the laprascopic incision and not cut me stem to stern. Thankfully again, it turned out to be benign. When we got the news 4 days after the surgery, I called my family to give them the news. My mother's cry of delight became the name for this piece - Benign Halleluja! This piece was made after seeing the photos of the surgery and the colors and textures they showed - right down to the bubbly saline solution.
